Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Clinical Operations to lead our clinical study operations in Italy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight to ensure the successful execution of clinical trials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and direction to clinical study teams to ensure timely and within-budget delivery of clinical trials.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clinical investigators, sites, and external partners to ensure seamless collaboration and communication.
  • Drive performance and strategic direction for clinical operations in Italy, aligning with company goals and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies, and maintain high standards of quality and integrity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement clinical development strategies and plans.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain a high-performing team, providing coaching, mentoring, and training to ensure staff have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in clinical research, including experience in clinical trial management and working in or managing clinical monitoring/site management.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Fluency in Italian and English (oral and written), with the ability to communicate effectively in a matrix organization.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, both within Italy and internationally.
