About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Business Development to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for securing and retaining business for our clinical development services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to secure new business and retain existing clients
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in the clinical development industry
  • Position Thermo Fisher Scientific as a primary or preferred provider for clinical development services
  • Qualify deals and develop proposals to meet strategic company goals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of sales strategies
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience and skills
  • Extensive, senior-level sales experience in the Clinical/CRO/Laboratory Services markets
  • Proven track record of developing mid- and high-level business contacts
  • Excellent social skills to manage and integrate with Operations, Finance, and Marketing teams
  • Understanding of sales automation systems and Microsoft Office programs
