About the Role

Serco is seeking a skilled Cloud Platform Architect to support the innovation of our Earth Observation (EO) cloud platform. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the cloud infrastructure, ensuring seamless project execution and operational excellence.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement cloud strategy to optimize the EO cloud platform.
  • Design and configure cloud infrastructure, including selecting cloud services and resources.
  • Implement security measures and monitor the performance of EO applications in the cloud.
  • Provide expertise and guidance to stakeholders on EO cloud platform-related matters.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud solutions to customers and partners.

Requirements

  • 3-8 years of experience in software engineering, with 2-4 years of experience working on cloud projects.
  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or MS with 3 years of experience.
  • Cloud architect certification is a plus.
  • Experience in the space sector and knowledge of cloud micro-architecture platforms using Kubernetes and Docker are appreciated.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, and knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
