About the Job:

At Four Seasons Firenze, we are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Front Desk Manager to oversee the Front Desk operations and act as the manager on duty in the hotel when senior managers are not available. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Front Desk Manager in supervising reception staff and ensuring all company standards are followed.

  • Assist the Front Desk Manager team in recruiting, training, evaluating and coaching all front desk employees.

  • Coordinate arrivals, departures and billing requirements with Sales and Catering Department.

  • Ensure that all financial and credit procedures are followed.

  • Take action in all matters related to the safety, security, satisfaction and well-being of hotel guests and employees when senior managers are not available.

  • Resolve customer complaints assisting them in all inquiries and promptly inform the Hotel senior management team.

  • Perform Front Desk duties on own, including but not limited to guests' checks in and out and all required cashiering transactions.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school education or equivalent experience.

  • Experience: Must have a minimum of one year experience in a Management position and previous experience in Front Office operations.

  • Must possess excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills, an outgoing personality and a can-do approach to any request.

  • Sound problem solving and strong leadership skills, ability to work well in a fast paced environment.

  • Proficiency in Hotel property management systems (Opera PMS) is required.

  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the Italian and English language. A third language is a plus.

  • Travel required: In case of trainings, conferences or special events.
