About the role

We're seeking a highly skilled Logistic Engineer to join our team at our Sant'Agata Bolognese headquarters. As a key member of our Logistics Engineering and Operations department, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing logistics concepts that meet our suppliers' and LSPs' needs.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Participating in Simultaneous Engineering Teams (SET) and industrial area sub-projects
  • Collaborating with the purchasing department to source materials and develop logistics concepts
  • Drafting and updating documents, such as specifications and presentations, to support the nomination phase or post-nomination bidding process
  • Planning logistics concepts and flows of purchasing materials from supplier to Point of Use
  • Organizing JIS meetings and conducting economic evaluations linked to single evaluations, product milestones, and related logistic costs
  • Tracking product content and assessing its impacts on the supply chain and internal processes
  • Planning and tracking logistic costs linked to the product, including special containers, defining capacity, milestones, and timing
  • Evaluating and planning product investments, such as special containers and warehouse equipment
  • Defining packaging of materials and implementing physical and SAP logistic flows
  • Procuring logistic equipment, including defining specifications, conducting technical checks, and entering data into Volkswagen Group Systems and SAP
  • Monitoring and updating data and personal data in Volkswagen Group Systems and SAP
  • Proposing and evaluating solutions and improvement interventions on flows and layouts of logistic areas

About you

  • University degree in Mechanical, Management, or Industrial Engineering
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in high-volume manufacturing or automotive warehouse environments
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience working with logistic service providers and external suppliers
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Experience with safety regulations
  • Fluent English, Italian, and German will be considered a plus
  • Relational skills, problem-solving, strong personality, and ability to implement actions
  • Excellent communication skills, team working attitude, and customer orientation
