Facilities Management Officer

The Facilities Management Officer - Technical Expert will be responsible for managing large renovation works, facilities and infrastructural programmes, and liaising with Italian authorities for major maintenance works. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, architecture, or related fields, and at least seven years of experience in facilities management, including maintenance contracts.
Key Responsibilities
Manage large renovation works, including planning, design, construction, and maintenance of major systems and facilities.
Coordinate and supervise the maintenance of FAO headquarters' facilities, including civil and technical infrastructures performed by CSLI staff and external contractors.
Liaise with Italian authorities for major maintenance works to be executed by the Ministry of Infrastructure, and prepare the design and cost estimates of infrastructural projects to maintain and increase the efficiency of FAO facilities.
Requirements
Advanced university degree in civil engineering, architecture, or related fields.
Seven years of work experience in facilities management, including maintenance contracts.
Working knowledge (proficient - level C) of English and limited knowledge (intermediate - level B) of another FAO official language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish).
