Motork is seeking an experienced Technical Leader to join our team. As a key member of our technology organization, you will be responsible for leading a scrum team of engineers, collaborating with architects and product owners to deliver value incrementally, and advocating best practices and a value-driven mindset among engineers and product managers.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a scrum team of 3-5 engineers, supporting them in day-to-day operations
  • Liaise with architects and other senior engineers to remove blockers and improve capacity
  • Collaborate with product owners and developers to deliver value incrementally
  • Understand business needs to ensure alignment
  • Advocate best practices and a value-driven mindset among engineers and product managers
  • Liaise with QA engineers to test user stories
  • Help improve our way of working through continuous improvement
Requirements
  • Previous significant hands-on experience in a Software Engineering role
  • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, such as Scrum and Lean practices
  • Bias for action and customer-centric approach
  • Experience working in an environment promoting a DevOps mindset, Continuous Integration, and Delivery
  • Track record of proven people management experience, including developing and growing people, giving feedback, and performance management
  • Extensive expertise in OOP in a Java 1.8 or later environment
  • Strong Software Engineering skills, strong SW Design capabilities, and fluency in practices and principles
  • Experience with third-party systems integration and asynchronous jobs
  • Knowledge of unit and functional testing and experience with TDD (JUnit and Spock)
  • Strong English communication skills (both spoken and written)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
