- Technical Due Diligence: Providing technical assessments of renewable energy projects for financing and investment purposes.
- Due Diligence for Purchase and Sale: Conducting thorough evaluations of renewable energy assets for buyers and sellers.
- Solar and Wind Resource Studies: Performing detailed studies of solar and wind resources to determine energy production estimates.
- Performance Studies: Evaluating the performance of renewable energy projects to identify areas for improvement.
- Feasibility Studies: Assessing the viability of renewable energy projects, including technical, financial, and regulatory considerations.
- Bankability Studies: Providing technical assessments of renewable energy projects to determine their bankability.
- Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) Consulting: Offering expert advice on the design, installation, and operation of BESS systems.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Producing high-quality solar resource studies and energy production estimates using tools such as PVsyst.
- Performing energy modeling on storage projects using tools such as Homer.
- Analyzing renewable energy project level documentation, including interconnection agreements, power purchase agreements, and environmental reviews.
- Verifying electrical designs of renewable energy projects.
- Reviewing equipment used on potential renewable energy projects.
- Continuously evaluating process improvement for technical due diligence reports produced.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a similar engineering degree.
- At least 3 years of experience in photovoltaic design and consultancy.
- Excellent understanding of solar electrical design.
- Experience with PVsyst.
- Some knowledge of government regulatory requirements for solar development and operation.
- Some knowledge of general solar construction and operation requirements.
- A high level of English proficiency.
- Italian as a mother tongue or bilingual.
