Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to oversee the construction process, ensuring compliance with contract plans, specifications, and scheduling. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing basic facility requirements, facilities planning policies, and project management plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review construction procedures to identify areas for improvement and implement changes
  • Monitor construction activity to ensure compliance with contract plans, specifications, and scheduling
  • Develop basic facility requirements (BFRs) to justify new construction, consolidation, and demolition
  • Develop facilities planning policies and guidance to accomplish mission requirements
  • Identify and analyze supply chain management risk areas to enable program decisions
  • Write project management plans for construction projects to meet program goals, requirements, and time frames
Requirements
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport
  • Must be able to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations
  • Must be able to work in an overseas environment
  • Must be able to travel to remote or isolated sites
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to architecture
  • At least 1 year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
  • Experience must demonstrate the following:
    • Applying knowledge of architectural concepts, principles, and practices to the design and construction of facilities
    • Providing technical recommendations/solutions to engineering problems encountered during the administration of construction projects
    • Performing cost estimates, feasibility studies, and/or constructability reviews in the construction of facilities
    • Developing mitigation strategies or alternatives to alleviate risks associated with design and construction
Additional Information
  • This position is eligible for part-time, substantial, or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements
  • Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA)
  • Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes
