We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Field Specialist to join our team at Baker Hughes Gruppe. As a key member of our Industry Energy Technology Service Organization, you will play a critical role in providing quality service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical direction for activities to internal teams and skilled labor to ensure safety, compliance, and quality.
- Oversee, overhaul, troubleshoot, and commission our rotating equipment and products at customer sites.
- Prepare and update technical documentation, plans, daily and weekly briefing reports for customers and internal cross-functional teams.
- Ensure internal training, compliance, and quality documentation is updated, followed, and completed according to company standards.
- Properly manage company digital tools to retrieve technical documents and manage packing lists, bills of material, and drawings.
- Under direct supervision, receive and follow specific detailed instructions.
- Learn and assist other crew members during installation and/or maintenance activities in the field at customer sites.
- Conduct all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, legal compliance requirements, and Baker Hughes Core Values.
- Mechanical technical degree or engineering bachelor degree.
- Experience in a mechanical role in an energy or oil and gas environment (or similar).
- Limited knowledge of the oil and gas industry.
- Good mechanical attitude.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
- EU passport/European work permit and excellent verbal and written English and Italian language.
- Ready to travel significantly (up to 70%) without geographical restriction, including offshore facilities.
- Ability to work well and communicate with others.
