About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Communications professional to lead our Healthcare Communications efforts in Italy. As Head of Healthcare Communications, you will be responsible for shaping and driving the Company's reputation footprint in Italy, while executing global communication strategy to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead Corporate and Healthcare communications in Italy, preserving and building the Company's reputation through proactive communication with targeted audiences.
  • Provide strategic counsel to the Managing Director and General Manager of the HC business in Italy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Extend awareness and reputation for key brands and new product launches through a 'non-commercial' communications strategy, nurturing strong relationships with healthcare media, general public, and internal stakeholders.
  • Drive cultural change by partnering closely with leadership teams and employees, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Manage a small team, their roles, responsibilities, budget, and PR agencies coordination/selection.
Requirements
  • 8-10+ years communications experience in corporate/agency environment.
  • Substantial experience in healthcare communications, pharmaceutical product PR, disease awareness campaigns, including internal & external communications, channel management & digital channel management.
  • Proven management and leadership skills, with ability to organize and manage multiple projects in support of business/corporate objectives.
  • Ability to operate in a global and regional environment, translating global communications campaigns into local impactful initiatives.
  • Rich issues/crisis communication experience in prevention and protection.
  • Excellent writing, editing, copywriting, and proofreading skills (both Italian and English).
  • Able to manage and lead people with indirect authority.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with, counsel, and influence senior executives effectively.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute results-driven communications strategies that are aligned with business goals and objectives.
