About the Role

Wood is seeking a highly experienced Principal Electrical Engineer to join its Projects – Process and Chemical Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading complex electrical engineering projects in the Chemical, Petrochemical, and Energy industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead electrical engineering projects from conceptual design to commissioning, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Develop and implement electrical engineering strategies to meet project objectives and client requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and technicians, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, codes, and standards, and apply this knowledge to improve project outcomes.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with at least 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the Chemical, Petrochemical, or Energy industries.
  • Proven track record of leading complex electrical engineering projects, with a strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Fluent written and spoken English and Italian, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel as required to support project delivery.
