We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Project Planner for our operations.

Job Purpose
The Project Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining the project schedule to effectively manage the time commitments associated with the project (tender, contract, or program).

Performance Metrics

In the tender phase:

  • Ensure timely delivery of all tender documents required to meet RFP specifications,
  • Provide timely schedule analysis for decision-making by the Tender Team, including critical path assessments, compliance with tender strategies, planning risks, mitigation strategies, and ambition lists.
  • Collaborate with métiers managers and the pre-project team to prepare the engineering schedule based on the Bid Technical Manager's assumptions.

In R&D and Project phases:

  • Update and consolidate the engineering schedule,
  • Ensure alignment with the overall project schedule,
  • Identify and address blocking points,
  • Propose solutions to adhere to the committed schedule.

In contract or program phases:

  • Establish and manage an approved baseline (internally and by the Customer),
  • Provide regular and consistent scheduling updates, including analysis of potential delays and proposed action plans for the project team,
  • Ensure timely delivery of KPIs (On-Time Delivery, documentation, Gate Reviews, sales, cash flow, etc.).

Key Responsibilities

In the tender phase:

  • Analyze the schedule management requirements of the Customer (contractual tools, schedule structure, reporting constraints, etc.),
  • Define and monitor the tender preparation schedule until submission,
  • Detail the tender schedule based on Reference Library templates, gap analysis, commitments from métiers, and tender strategies,
  • Identify critical paths and risks associated with the schedule and propose optimization and mitigation actions,
  • Develop a strategy to ensure compliance with contractual requirements,
  • Participate in defining schedule interfaces with partners and the Customer,
  • Deliver all schedule-related documents on time as per the requested level,
  • Estimate the cost associated with scheduling management efforts.

In contract or program phases:

  • Define and maintain the Project Time Management Plan, complementing any higher-ranking Project Time Management Plans and the Project Management Plan,
  • In multi-unit projects, coordinate the project scheduling community (meetings, minutes of meetings, etc.),
  • Detail and update the project schedule based on contractual targets and data from all stakeholders,
  • Propose the project baseline,
  • Ensure consistency among all internal and external stakeholder commitments and manage schedule interfaces,
  • Organize and lead periodic Project Schedule Sessions,
  • Participate in project core team meetings (and/or higher-ranking schedule management meetings),
  • Provide timely updates on schedule status, highlighting gaps between actual progress and the baseline,
  • Focus on early identification of potential delays,
  • Prepare schedule and progress reports for the Customer, Lead Unit, or Partners,
  • Support the Project Manager on all schedule-related issues,
  • Develop and maintain schedule templates for the Reference Library.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Background in project management and industrial sectors,
  • Strong understanding of railway products and systems is advantageous,
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in a team environment,
  • Skills in conflict resolution and multitasking,
  • Proactive in proposing solutions and able to challenge project teams,
  • Capable of managing schedules and adapting to changing project objectives,
  • Strong critical thinking and judgment skills.
