Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities
- Study FPGA requirements to understand verification requirements and develop a comprehensive verification plan.
- Collaborate with the FPGA design team to establish test priorities and coverage targets, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Define and implement test procedures to ensure thorough verification of FPGA designs.
- Establish and maintain a verification methodology, architecture, and infrastructure, including models, generators, monitors, and other necessary tools.
- Develop and implement test benches using VHDL, ensuring efficient and effective verification.
- Develop FPGA functions for HW test purposes, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Execute test procedures through simulations and on-target tests, identifying and reporting any issues or defects.
- Generate reports and verification matrices to ensure coverage of requirements, providing actionable insights for improvement.
- Report code coverage analysis and RTL bugs, supporting designers in resolving these issues.
- Create and maintain regressions, providing regular reports to the team and stakeholders.
- Support project planning efforts, ensuring timely execution and effective communication with the team and stakeholders.
- Generate and review HW-related engineering documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Manage documentation and VHDL code in adherence to Configuration Management and Change Control procedures.
- Participate in design reviews and support customer audits, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Effectively manage assigned tasks, communicate with team members, and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve project goals.
Essential Qualifications
- Master's degree in an electronic engineering discipline or similar.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience coding, simulating, and verifying VHDL code for FPGA.
- Experience with EDA tools such as HDL simulators and FPGA design tools.
- Experience with FPGA testbenches development.
- Experience with laboratory instruments (power supplies, oscilloscopes, etc).
- Organized and systematic approach to maintaining documentation in an appropriate order.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
- Knowledge of English Language, both in writing/reading technical documentation and in speaking/listening during project meetings and design reviews.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience with Mentor Questasim and Xilinx Vivado.
- Experience with UVM/VMM/OVM Frameworks or System Verilog.
- Experience with IBM DOORS and Mentor Reqtracer.
- Experience of version control, e.g., SVN, GIT.
- Experience with the FPGA design flow (synthesis, place & route, timing closure).
- Experience with DO-254 standard.
- Integration experience using SoC (System on Chip) devices, especially Xilinx product family.
