About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to join our team at MotorK, a leading sales and marketing technology company in Europe. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a scrum team of 3-5 engineers, supporting them in their day-to-day operations, and collaborating with architects and other senior engineers to remove blockers and deliver value incrementally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a scrum team of 3-5 engineers, providing guidance and support in their daily work
  • Liaise with architects and other senior engineers to identify and remove blockers, ensuring the team can deliver value efficiently
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and other developers to deliver incremental value, understanding business needs and addressing them effectively
  • Advocate for best practices and a value-driven mindset among engineers and product managers
  • Liaise with QA Engineers to ensure user stories are thoroughly tested
  • Help improve our way of working through continuous improvement initiatives
  • Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear and concise communication
Requirements
  • Previous significant hands-on experience in a Software Engineering role
  • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Lean practices
  • Bias for action and customer-centric approach
  • Experience in working in an environment that promotes a DevOps mindset, Continuous Integration, and Delivery
  • Track record of proven people management experience, focusing on developing and growing people
  • Extensive expertise in Object-Oriented Programming in a Java 1.8 or later environment
  • Strong Software Engineering skills, strong SW Design capabilities, and fluency in practices and principles
  • Experience with third-party systems integration and asynchronous jobs
  • Knowledge of unit and functional testing, and experience with TDD (JUnit and Spock)
  • Strong English communication skills (both spoken and written)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
