This role also involves mentoring and supervising medical trainees, in addition to participating in research and academic publications.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilizes knowledge of pediatric growth and development during patient care and treatment.
- Engages in continuous professional development through activities such as reviewing medical literature and attending relevant conferences.
- Facilitates training sessions aimed at addressing the educational needs of staff and residents.
- Oversees follow-up processes for diagnostic tests, laboratory studies, and patient communications.
- Provides comprehensive clinical care, including patient history assessments, physical examinations, and treatment planning.
- Offers insights for departmental improvements and advancements.
- Participates in Performance Improvement initiatives, Research, and Teaching endeavors.
- Acts as a mentor for medical students and residents, fostering their professional growth.
- Contributes to the designated on-call schedule.
Essential Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) from an accredited medical institution.
- Possession of an active state medical license in good standing.
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification maintained throughout employment.

- Demonstrated clinical, research, and educational expertise with an emphasis on academic pediatrics.
