We are seeking a committed and motivated Procurement Specialist to join our organization. This role is essential for those who thrive in a dynamic and collaborative environment. The position involves reporting to the Sourcing Manager and encompasses the management of procurement activities across multiple facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier Identification and Evaluation: Research and assess potential suppliers for materials and technical components, focusing on quality, pricing, and their capability to fulfill company standards. Contract Negotiation: Engage in negotiations regarding contract terms, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment conditions, to secure optimal value for the organization. Order Management: Generate purchase orders for materials and technical components, ensuring compliance with all technical specifications and timely delivery. Supplier Performance Assessment: Continuously evaluate supplier performance concerning quality, delivery timelines, and adherence to technical requirements, addressing any quality concerns or delays. Interdepartmental Collaboration: Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to guarantee that procured materials and components align with technical and production needs. Market Analysis: Conduct analysis of material costs and market trends to uncover cost-saving opportunities and enhance cost efficiency. Compliance Assurance: Ensure that all procured materials and components meet relevant regulations and safety standards. Identify opportunities to refine procurement processes and introduce innovative technologies or materials to enhance production efficiency and quality. Lead cost-saving initiatives by engaging cross-functional teams and extending beyond conventional testing practices. Support the Category Team: Assist in defining global strategies and drafting contractual agreements.

Candidate Profile

Degree in industrial engineering, economics, or related fields. No prior experience necessary, but a strong inclination towards the role is essential. Proficient in negotiating pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve the best outcomes. Capable of developing and maintaining robust relationships with suppliers, evaluating their performance, and managing any arising issues. Skilled in analyzing material costs and identifying potential cost-saving measures. Competent in planning and organizing procurement activities to ensure timely availability of materials. Quick and effective in identifying and resolving technical and logistical challenges. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with suppliers, colleagues, and other departments. Ability to work collaboratively with various teams, including engineering, production, and quality assurance. Preferable experience with enterprise management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Proficient in standard computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office). Good command of both written and spoken English and Italian for effective communication with international suppliers and understanding technical documentation. Adaptable to change and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Able to perform under pressure and handle challenging situations.
