Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Engineering Leader in Italy, the Junior Process Engineer will focus on enhancing the efficiency of our manufacturing and industrial processes. This role involves ensuring the optimal operation of production lines, developing innovative techniques, modifying existing designs, and leading process improvement initiatives. The main duties include:

  • Analyzing current processes to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Implementing solutions to boost operational performance.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to evaluate workflows and propose enhancements.
  • Applying lean manufacturing principles and conducting process audits.
  • Defining and overseeing electrochemical and control processes to maximize the performance of our electrolyzers.

Daily Tasks

  • Creating and developing Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), and material balances.
  • Drafting essential process documentation and identifying optimal solutions for process enhancement.
  • Selecting and sizing equipment for plant operations.
  • Assisting the Project Manager and Product Engineer during customer alignment phases by participating in technical discussions.
  • Overseeing plant start-up procedures and commissioning as needed.
  • Preparing operational manuals and start-up protocols.
  • Managing process data during the bidding phase.
  • Depending on experience, leading project teams as a Project Specialist Leader.

Candidate Profile

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Chemical Engineering.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.
  • Background in the hydrogen generation sector is a plus.
  • Proficiency in English is essential; knowledge of French is beneficial.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and autonomy.
  • Ability to collaborate within a diverse team environment.
