POSITION OVERVIEW

New Guards Group is on the lookout for a committed Retail Accounting Specialist to enhance its Administrative Department, reporting directly to the Retail Accounting Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the execution of routine accounting functions and associated activities for the retail sector;
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions within the general ledger, including accounts receivable and accounts payable;
  • Guarantee the precision and promptness of reports related to accounts receivable and accounts payable, which includes preparing weekly payment schedules;
  • Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of sales, cash receipts, bank statements, and credit card transactions within the general ledger;
  • Assist in the month-end accounting close process by evaluating accruals, prepayments, and depreciation entries;
  • Examine intercompany transactions, identifying and resolving any discrepancies that may occur;
  • Contribute to the review of financial statements;
  • Engage in daily communications with both internal and external business partners.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline;
  • A minimum of 2 years of prior experience in accounting, preferably within the retail or fashion industry;
  • Proficiency in English;
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and relevant accounting software;
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities;
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team;
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
