In this position, you will be pivotal in driving efficiency, assessing and refining processes to elevate productivity, curtail expenses, and mitigate environmental, health, and safety concerns. You will also uphold quality standards by deploying strategies that guarantee our products consistently achieve the highest benchmarks. As a proactive leader, you will direct improvement initiatives and collaborate effectively with diverse teams to meet collective objectives. If you possess experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement practices in a chemical, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing context, we would be keen to connect. However, even if you are still on your journey to gaining these experiences but are passionate and motivated in these areas, we welcome your interest.
Key Responsibilities:
Enhance manufacturing processes to: optimize usage, minimize waste, boost capacity and production rates, reduce batch times, elevate productivity, stabilize processes, and lower energy consumption while improving product quality. Create the Process Engineering Package (PFD, P&ID, process specifications, material and energy balances, DCS control logic descriptions). Lead debottlenecking initiatives, capacity enhancement projects, and the introduction and industrialization of new products. Ensure ongoing improvement of plant efficiency (OEE). Oversee the execution of VCP projects and productivity enhancement programs. Ensure production procedures are clearly documented and regularly updated. Provide training on procedures to operational personnel. Define process operating parameters, operational flows, and machine configurations. Monitor daily production metrics (quality, quantity, and yield) and offer necessary guidance to rectify or prevent deviations from standards, ensuring targets are met. Ensure the completion of SAP production confirmations. Develop software systems, spreadsheets, and monitoring tools to enhance efficiencies. Collaborate with production and maintenance supervisors to address plant anomalies and troubleshoot equipment failures. Coordinate Investigation Reports and Cause Mapping for Process, Production, Safety, Environmental, and Quality matters. Promote the culture of Operational Excellence/Continuous Improvement/LEAN/6-Sigma within the site. Implement Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, 5S, Lean, and Operational Excellence initiatives. Maintain relationships with other facilities and ensure the adoption of Best Practices and corporate initiatives. Ensure adherence to quality and EHS programs (ISO45001, EMAS, ISO 9001, ISO 14001). Responsible for conducting Safety Analyses, Process Safety, and PSM programs. Coordinate Project Design Safety Reviews and Pre-Start Up Safety Reviews. Participate in PHA/HAZOP analyses.Qualifications:
Required:
Master's degree in Chemical Engineering. Initial work experience, including internships or apprenticeships. Strong teamwork and project management capabilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Proficient in English and Italian.Preferred:
Familiarity with Six Sigma/Lean/Continuous Improvement tools is highly valued. Knowledge and experience with problem-solving methodologies. Experience in high-risk sectors (Seveso).
