Job Summary

The Pediatric Intensivist will lead a multidisciplinary team in the diagnosis, treatment, and clinical management of pediatric patients in a fast-paced environment. This role offers exposure to a mix of general and high-acuity pediatric patients, with opportunities to participate in research and publishing.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of growth and development in customer interactions and treatment.
• Continuously update clinical skills through self-education and professional development.
• Develop and deliver educational programs to meet staff and resident development needs.
• Coordinate patient care, including test follow-up, lab studies, and patient follow-up phone calls.
• Provide direct clinical services to patients, including history and physical examinations, treatment planning, and patient teaching.
• Participate in Performance Improvement, Research, and Publishing initiatives.
• Contribute to the teaching and mentorship of medical students and residents.
• Participate in the call schedule as assigned.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) from an accredited medical school.
• Current state medical license and in good standing with medical board.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
