Position Overview

We are currently looking for a Conformity of Production Engineer to join our esteemed organization, reporting directly to the Head of Quality Assurance for Assembly.
In this role, you will be tasked with executing Conformity of Production (CoP) assessments in accordance with internal protocols and legal standards across various global markets (EU, China, USA, and others) for vehicles in production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the CoP Project Leader and the Homologation department to establish the annual control strategy.
- Develop a comprehensive yearly control plan that adheres to CoP standards and oversee its implementation and upkeep.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure the availability of vehicles and components for CoP assessments.
- Organize the logistics for vehicle and component transportation related to CoP activities.
- Plan, execute, or request testing in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Supervise tests conducted internally and by third-party facilities, ensuring accurate documentation and storage of results.
- In the event of non-conformities, initiate the escalation process and verify the execution of corrective measures and associated documentation.
- Prepare annual reports on Conformity of Production and collaborate with involved departments to finalize these reports.
- Ensure compliance with requirements for external audits.
- Assist departments in organizing external audits related to Conformity of Production.
- Serve as a liaison with the VW Audi Group and external auditors regarding CoP matters.
- Support the CoP Project Leader in the development of Testing Instructions and reports.
- Plan the annual budget for relevant tests, solicit proposals, initiate the bidding process, and monitor budget adherence throughout the year.
- Ensure compliance with homologation standards during series production (e.g., Visual Inspection).
Collaboration:
- Engage in regular discussions with the Homologation Department, Laboratory, and GQ Management.
- Collaborate with internal departments, particularly key personnel.
- Interact with external auditors.
- Coordinate with VW Audi Group regarding CoP issues.
- Work with suppliers, including testing facilities.
Candidate Profile:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in the automotive sector, particularly in homologation, conformity of production testing, or technical roles.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, technical documentation, and requirements.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across various departments.
- Proficient in English; knowledge of German is a plus.
- Strong team-oriented mindset.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication abilities.
