We are seeking a highly skilled Counter Terrorism Analyst to join our team at NATO Communications and Information Agency. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering and analyzing intelligence on counter-terrorism activities in Africa.
Key Responsibilities- Gather and analyze intelligence on counter-terrorism activities in Africa, with a focus on the Sahel region.
- Conduct threat network analysis to identify potential threats to NATO operations.
- Responsible for analyzing terrorism, paramilitary groups, organized crime groups, and proxy groups activity.
- Coordinate with other analysts to gather and analyze intelligence on illegal migration and trafficking, grey economic activity, and influence/supportive groups.
- Identify critical vulnerabilities within the system that adversaries could exploit.
- Collaborate with NATO and non-NATO experts and institutions to fulfill analysis requirements.
- Member of Force Protection Working Group and C-IED Working Group to provide an updated threat assessment.
- Undertake work as part of a project team or team lead as directed.
- Represent NATO at seminars, workshops, and conferences to increase subject matter expertise and network.
The successful candidate will have a university degree in criminology, police, public or business administration, administration of justice, criminal law, comparative general management, political theory, behavioral or social psychology, or a related discipline. They will also have 2 years of function-related experience, or higher secondary education with advanced vocational training and 4 years of post-related experience.
Proven experience working and dealing with Intelligence Transnational Issues and activities that derive intelligence for the African regions is essential.
LanguageEnglish is the primary language used in this post, and the successful candidate will be required to have a high level of proficiency in English, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
