Overview:

In this position, you will serve as a key driver of operational efficiency, assessing and enhancing processes to elevate productivity, lower expenses, and mitigate environmental, health, and safety hazards. You will also take the lead in ensuring quality by applying strategies that guarantee our products consistently uphold the highest standards. As a pivotal figure, you will direct improvement initiatives and work collaboratively with diverse teams to meet collective objectives. If you possess experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies in a chemical, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing context, we would be keen to connect with you. However, even if you are still gaining experience in these areas but are genuinely interested and motivated, we welcome your application.

Key Responsibilities:

Enhance manufacturing processes to: Optimize resource usage, Minimize waste, Increase capacity and production rates, Reduce batch times, Boost productivity, Improve process stability, Decrease energy consumption, and Elevate product quality. Create the Process Engineering Package (PFD, P&ID, process specifications, material and energy balances, and DCS control logic descriptions). Lead debottlenecking projects, capacity enhancement initiatives, and the introduction and industrialization of new products. Ensure continuous improvement of plant efficiency (OEE). Implement VCP projects and productivity enhancement programs. Ensure production procedures are clearly documented and regularly updated. Provide training on procedures to operational personnel. Define process operating parameters, operational flows, and machine configurations. Monitor daily production metrics (quality, quantity, and yield) and provide necessary guidance to rectify or prevent deviations from standard operations, achieving targets and adhering to production plans and budgets. Ensure the execution of SAP production confirmations. Develop software systems, spreadsheets, and monitoring systems to enhance efficiencies. Collaborate with production and maintenance supervisors to address plant anomalies and troubleshoot equipment failures. Coordinate Investigation Reports and Cause Mapping for process, production, safety, environmental, and quality concerns. Support the dissemination of Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, Lean, and Six Sigma culture across the site. Implement Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, 5S, Lean, and Operational Excellence initiatives. Maintain relationships with other facilities and ensure the adoption of Best Practices and corporate initiatives. Ensure compliance with quality and EHS programs (ISO45001, EMAS, ISO 9001, ISO 14001). Oversee Safety Analyses, Process Safety, and PSM programs. Coordinate Project Design Safety Reviews and Pre-Start-Up Safety Reviews. Participate in PHA/HAZOP analyses.

Required Qualifications:

The following qualifications are essential for this role:

Master's degree in Chemical Engineering. Initial work experience, including internships or apprenticeships. Strong teamwork and project management capabilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Proficient in English and Italian.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean, and Continuous Improvement tools will be highly regarded. Knowledge and experience with problem-solving methodologies. Experience in high-risk industries (Seveso). Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Resilience and adaptability in the face of challenges.
