About the Role

This position reports to the HSE Manager at ABB Schweiz AG, a leading global technology company. As a Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Specialist, you will contribute to improving HSE performance in your assigned area of responsibility, cultivating a high-performance culture with a strong focus on HSE.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Support the HSE Manager in reporting progress with respect to the implementation of group-level HSE objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Assist line managers and supervisors in understanding their obligations, liabilities, and requirements for role fulfillment, as per local HSE laws and group/business-specific requirements.
  • Support and drive behavioral change through the local implementation of group-wide and business-specific performance improvement programs and practices.
  • Embed an exemplary health and safety culture with a strong focus on the environment across the respective organization.
  • Ensure that the appropriate HSE-related equipment and tools are available and used effectively.
  • Support the HSE function on risk assessment.

Requirements

  • Highly skilled problem-solving attitude, curiosity, good communication and team-working abilities, and analytical skills.
  • Enhanced knowledge of MS Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Safety Engineering, Tecniche della Prevenzione nell'ambiente e nei luoghi di lavoro or similar.
  • Proficiency in Italian and English (both written and spoken).
