About the Role

Amazon Italia Transport Srl is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health and Safety Professional to join our team as a Senior Health and Safety Manager. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for driving health and safety across our AMZL sites in Italy.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in the Development and Implementation of Safety Programs: Collaborate with the Regional Workplace Health and Safety Manager to develop and implement safety programs that align with company goals and objectives.
  2. Ensure Compliance with Regulations: Ensure that all WHS systems are accurate and up-to-date, with completed incident reports and supporting documentation.
  3. Facilitate Training and Development: Facilitate or arrange training programs on critical WHS issues, and assist with the coordination and training of new Health and Safety team members.
  4. Support Operations and Risk Assessment: Support the implementation of WHS programs within Operations, while delivering key risk assessment activities and promoting compliance with local and EU legislation.
  5. Contribute to Incident Prevention: Assist the WHS Manager with the construction of incident prevention programs, and act as a proxy for the WHS Manager.
  6. Improve Safety Trends: Contribute to requests for improvement of on-site safety and positively impact accident trends.
  7. Communicate with Stakeholders: Prepare responses to insurers or solicitors in response to any personal injury claims, and participate in the Safety Audit Programs.
  8. Lead Site Safety Steering Committee Meetings: Arrange, facilitate, and contribute to site Safety Steering Committee meetings.
  9. Conduct Site Surveys and Checks: Arrange and conduct basic surveys and checks in the Delivery stations environment, looking into facility processes, Health and Safety supplies, and employee behaviors.
  10. Travel and Support: Flexibility to travel to support at different locations in Italy as needed.
