  • You will collaborate with a team focused on building a flexible and modular publishing platform that integrates and operates all brands within the BurdaForward portfolio.
  • You will architect the module structure and engage in feature development for the publishing framework.
  • You will facilitate the onboarding of new brands and internal development teams onto the framework.
  • You will ensure the code is maintained and continuously enhanced.
  • You will contribute to establishing processes that uphold software quality while ensuring usability for others.
  • You will take on the responsibility of maintaining a high standard of technical quality within the framework.

What we would expect from you...

  • You possess strong skills in developing web applications and APIs using backend frameworks such as Express.
  • You are proficient in both JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • You have experience with cloud services like AWS Lambda, ECS, SQS/SNS, S3, or similar technologies.
  • You appreciate Infrastructure as Code methodologies, utilizing tools like Terraform or comparable frameworks.
  • You are familiar with CI/CD practices and containerization technologies such as Docker.
  • You have a solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, including MySQL, MongoDB, and DynamoDB.
  • You have a foundational knowledge of application testing through unit and integration tests.
