Job Summary:

As a Sales Associate with the Navy Exchange Service Command, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and selling general merchandise to customers. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our retail operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional selling techniques to customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Work collaboratively with the sales team to achieve sales goals and exceed customer expectations.
  • Assist in the operation of the Food and Beverage Convenience Bar, including opening and closing procedures, preparing and displaying merchandise, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Engage with customers, respond to their needs, and provide solutions to their queries.
  • Stay knowledgeable about merchandise, including product features, price points, and warranty coverage.
  • Ensure assigned areas are fully stocked and merchandise is neatly arranged.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, thanking customers for their patronage.
  • Advise customers of upcoming sales events and services available throughout the Navy Exchange.
  • Maintain a high level of awareness in assigned areas and offer excellent customer service to all patrons.
  • Unpack, stage, and move merchandise as assigned, completing paperwork associated with inventory movement and cash register operation accurately.
Requirements:
  • No experience required.
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
