Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team at the Navy Exchange Service Command. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, selling general merchandise, and working as part of a sales team to meet sales goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greets and engages customers in conversation to provide sales-related assistance.
  • Assists customers in selecting merchandise and suggests additional items to complement their selections.
  • Interacts with customers and coworkers in a friendly and professional manner, adhering to NEX dress code uniform standards.
  • Becomes knowledgeable about merchandise, including proper set-up, use, care, and characteristics of various products.
  • Ensures assigned areas are fully stocked and merchandise is neatly arranged.
  • Completes sales transactions efficiently and thanks customers for their patronage.
  • Advises customers of upcoming sales events and services available throughout the Navy Exchange.
  • Maintains a high level of awareness in assigned areas and offers excellent customer service to all patrons.
  • Unpacks, stages, and moves merchandise as assigned.
  • Completes paperwork associated with merchandise inventory movement, price adjustments, customer returns, and cash register operation accurately.
Requirements:
  • No experience required.
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
