About the Team

The Human Resources Italy Team operates within the broader People Team framework. This is an exciting opportunity to engage in a dynamic industry alongside supportive colleagues.

Role Overview

The primary objective is to assist the HR Country Manager in Italy by delivering expert guidance and advice on HR policies and procedures, managing intricate employee relations cases, and promoting HR best practices.

Key Responsibilities

HR Policies and Standards

· Offer guidance to management and staff regarding employment terms and HR policies to ensure equitable application.

· Ensure that relevant management tools and resources are consistently updated to reflect legal changes and evolving business needs.

Employee Relations

· Provide support and advice on disciplinary, grievance, performance, and absence issues, escalating matters as necessary.

· Monitor and analyze employee relations cases to identify trends and implement strategies to mitigate recurrence.

· Assist the HR Country Manager in handling Employment Tribunal cases.

· Facilitate ongoing training programs for line managers to enhance their skills in managing personnel issues.

· Keep abreast of HR trends and employment legislation, sharing insights within the team and across the organization.

Recruitment Support

· Aid the recruitment process by advising managers on policies and tools, and supporting recruitment initiatives.

General Duties

· Analyze people metrics and propose strategies to enhance overall performance.

· Collaborate with the HR Country Manager to execute regular business processes, including pay and bonus evaluations.

· Participate in benchmarking activities and assist in preparations for union discussions and negotiations.

· Undertake any other reasonable tasks as assigned by the HR Country Manager.

Role Requirements

Essential Skills

· Proven experience in managing complex employee relations matters, including disciplinary and grievance processes.

· Ability to influence and build relationships effectively across various levels of the organization.

· Experience in a fast-paced, multi-site HR environment, engaging with all organizational levels.

· Familiarity with advanced HR Business Partnering models.

· Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.

· Resilience and a focus on development, maintaining composure under pressure.

· Capacity to interpret policies and procedures, identifying issues and providing innovative solutions.

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Desirable Skills

· HR or Legal qualifications are preferred.

· Experience in executing HR projects.

· Background in an international organization.

· Previous experience in a unionized environment.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position with a hybrid work model, requiring three days per week in the office.
