About the Team

The Human Resources team in Italy is an integral part of the broader People Team framework. If you are eager to join a dynamic industry alongside supportive colleagues, this is the ideal environment for you.

Role Overview

The primary objective is to assist the HR Country Manager in Italy by offering expert guidance and professional advice regarding the interpretation of HR policies and procedures, managing intricate employee relations cases, and implementing HR best practices.

Key Responsibilities

HR Policies and Standards

· Provide comprehensive advice to management and staff on employment terms and HR policies to ensure equitable and consistent application.

· Ensure that relevant management tools and guidelines are regularly updated to reflect statutory changes and evolving business needs.

Employee Relations

· Offer advice and administrative support for disciplinary actions, grievances, performance issues, and absence management, escalating matters as necessary.

· Monitor, analyze, and track the reasons behind employee relations cases, proposing and implementing interventions to mitigate their recurrence.

· Assist the HR Country Manager in managing Employment Tribunal cases.

· Deliver ongoing training programs on People Management to line managers to enhance the handling of personnel issues within the organization.

· Maintain and update knowledge of HR issues and employment legislation, ensuring that this knowledge is disseminated and utilized within the team and across the organization.

Recruitment Support

· Facilitate the recruitment process by advising line managers on policies, tools, and supporting them in recruitment activities.

General Responsibilities

· Analyze people metrics and recommend strategies to enhance overall performance.

· Support the HR Country Manager in executing regular business processes such as compensation and bonus reviews.

· Participate in benchmarking activities and assist in preparations for union consultations and negotiations.

· Undertake any other reasonable duties as assigned by the HR Country Manager.

Role Requirements

Essential Skills

· Proven experience in advising on complex employee relations matters, including disciplinary and grievance management.

· Ability to influence and build effective relationships with client groups remotely.

· Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-site HR environment, engaging with all organizational levels and cross-functionally.

· Familiarity with a progressive HR Business Partnering model.

· Demonstrated ability to approach work systematically and with attention to detail.

· Capacity to remain composed under pressure, showing resilience and a focus on development.

· Proficient in interpreting policies and procedures, identifying issues, and employing initiative to provide innovative solutions.

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong numerical abilities.

· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Desirable Skills

· Ideally qualified in HR or Law.

· Experience in delivering HR projects.

· Previous experience in an international organization.

· Familiarity with working in a unionized environment.

Work Schedule
