Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Product Manager for Simulation Models to join our team at Hitachi Vantara Corporation. As a key member of our Global Product Management team, you will be responsible for defining and executing the product strategy for simulation models in the Power Grids Grid Automation – Grid edge solutions portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grid Code Certification and Market Introduction: Take ownership of grid code certification and market introduction of Grid Edge Solutions portfolio in all aspects related to power systems models, simulations, and studies.
  • Simulation Models Development: Collaborate with RD experts to shape the simulation models packages (including documentation, tools, and collateral material) for maximum usability and value addition.
  • Power Systems Studies: Coordinate and supervise internal and external consultants performing power systems studies to support Hitachi Energy global business, particularly when utilizing models of Hitachi Energy products and solutions.
  • Market and Customer Requirements: Collect, review, and groom market and customer requirements to ensure alignment with product strategy.
  • RD Backlog Definition: Define, prioritize, and assess business impact of RD backlog items related to simulation models.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on Power Systems domain.
  • Experience: More than 5 years of experience in the area of digital control and simulations applied to Power Systems.
  • Skills: Knowledge of Matlab Simulink, PSCAD, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSS/e, and other simulation platforms and programming/scripting languages.
  • Expertise: Expertise with model-related grid code certification and grid impact studies processes and requirements.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of battery energy storage systems, microgrids, and renewable generation, as well as power systems, LV, MV, and HV electrical equipment, switchgears, generation equipment, and components such as DCS, PLCs, power meters.
  • Travel: Availability to travel globally (20 – 30% of the time).
