Description of the Engineering Manager Role

The Engineering Manager will lead and guide the Engineering Team to deliver high-quality products and services. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple teams and stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Lead and manage multiple engineering teams to deliver high-quality products and services.
  2. Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, including architecture, design, and code reviews.
  3. Work closely with product management and data science to develop and implement product roadmaps.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  5. Develop and implement engineering best practices and standards.
  6. Recruit, train, and develop top-class engineers.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2+ years of experience in team leading and/or management.
  • 5+ years of software development experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a platform or Dev-Ops/SRE team in a SaaS environment.

You will also need to be able to:

  • Lead by example and demonstrate technical expertise.
  • Manage multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement engineering best practices and standards.
  • Recruit, train, and develop top-class engineers.
