POSITION OVERVIEW

The International Medical Communications & Content (MCC) team operates within the Global Medical Engagement and Impact (MEI) platform, under the Global Chief Medical Affairs (CMAO) Office. This team is pivotal in shaping local medical content strategies across various therapeutic areas, including Oncology, Primary Care, Specialty Care, and Vaccines, within our International Division. The MCC team collaborates closely with Global and US Medical Channel Content Teams, as well as other essential cross-functional partners, to conceptualize, adapt, and disseminate medical content tailored for ex-US audiences through publications, congresses, medical interactions, digital platforms, and other prioritized channels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with country medical affairs teams to implement a comprehensive, customer-focused medical content strategy across Pfizer's portfolio in ex-US regions, enhancing the dissemination of emerging scientific information to healthcare professionals, patients, and stakeholders. Generate innovative strategies to inspire and guide the execution of medical content initiatives that align with both global and local needs, improving external engagement with complex medical/scientific information in a relevant and impactful manner. Deliver and manage local medical content strategies across designated therapeutic areas within ex-US markets, ensuring optimal engagement with Pfizer's scientific data. Oversee the adaptation of global medical content and the creation of new local content, ensuring compliance with therapeutic area strategies and local regulations. Work closely with country medical affairs to gather insights and prioritize content development that meets local needs and aligns with global strategies. Promote content reuse and ensure that new content creation is limited to prioritized local assets. Align with commercial strategies to enhance customer experiences while maintaining compliance standards. Analyze customer journeys and market insights to inform the optimal format and channel strategy for medical content. Adapt and develop content in compliance with internal policies and local codes, ensuring approvability for various uses. Build and personalize global content for local markets, considering language and compliance requirements. Navigate local medical review processes to ensure timely approval and dissemination of content. Collaborate with content teams to provide insights and contribute to content strategy development. Participate in strategic planning for local medical congresses, supporting Pfizer's scientific presence. Stay informed on local regulations affecting the digital delivery of scientific information. Produce analytics reports and project scorecards to measure performance against KPIs. Mentor team members and external partners to ensure effective execution of tasks. Remain updated on current literature, emerging science, and medical trends to enhance content development. Uphold Pfizer's values by fostering effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

Advanced degree in a scientific or healthcare field (PharmD, PhD, MS, etc.) is required. At least 7 years of experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry, with a minimum of 3 years in Medical Affairs, Scientific Publications, or Medical Communications.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

Proficient in scientific peer-reviewed publications and global medical communications best practices. Strong presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex information effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences. Ability to build rapport with key stakeholders through strong interpersonal skills. Familiarity with relevant regulations and Pfizer policies. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a matrix environment. Experience in managing external vendors and overseeing project budgets and timelines. Strong digital capabilities and understanding of digital compliance requirements.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

Proficient in English, with strong written and oral skills. Fluent in the local language of designated countries.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in specific therapeutic areas and familiarity with assigned geographies. Omnichannel experience is a plus.
