We are seeking a highly skilled Security Operations Analyst to join our team at 3240 Kyndryl Italia S.P.A. as a key member of our cybersecurity team. As a Security Operations Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our systems and data.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in establishing and maintaining a robust security monitoring discipline to support enterprise security operations.
- Analyze and respond to security threats from various sources, including Firewall, Intrusion Detection Systems, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Antivirus, Endpoint Detection and Response, and other security threat data sources.
- Respond to security incidents in a timely manner, adhering to documented Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Document actions and incidents to effectively communicate information to internal stakeholders and for historical retrieval.
- Adhere to policies, procedures, and security practices to ensure the security and integrity of our systems and data.
- Resolve problems independently and understand escalation procedures to ensure timely and effective incident response.
- Conduct security monitoring activities to provide Security in Depth visibility into potential known and unknown threats that may pose risk to our environment.
- Participate in security incidents and act as a technical Subject Matter Expert during significant security incidents.
- Utilize analytics to identify potential threats to our environment and detect, respond, mitigate, and report on cyber threats/incidents.
- Collaborate with technical leads, including Engineering, Operations, Service Desk, Applications, and BISOs, on matters related to security monitoring across our global footprint.
- Collaborate and serve as a liaison to Managed and/or Unmanaged Security Service providers.
- Conduct operations surrounding cybersecurity incident response technologies, including network logging and forensics, security information and event management tools, security analytics platforms, log search technologies, and host-based forensics.
- Act as an internal information security consultant to the business and technology units, advising on risks, threats, and control practices related to Rapid Response.
- Assist in development and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Assist in security console tuning and security event oversight to ensure the team is delivering a quality product.
- Identify and share threat intelligence that impacts Kyndryl and our customers or products.
- Perform threat hunts that target adversary Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs).
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Science.
- 4+ years of experience in security operations/engineering.
- Active Defense and Adversary Emulation – Purple Teaming experience.
- Fluency in English.
- Availability to travel.
- Advanced SIEM capabilities with use case deployment, query building, and metrics.
- Analyze and respond to security threats from various sources.
- Respond in a timely manner, adhering to documented SLAs.
- Document actions and incidents to effectively communicate information to internal stakeholders and for historical retrieval.
- Adhere to policies, procedures, and security practices.
- Resolve problems independently and understand escalation procedures.
- Conduct security monitoring activities to provide Security in Depth visibility into potential known and unknown threats that may pose risk to our environment.
- Network security skills, including Firewall rules, UTM, WAF, VMS, EDR, Sandbox solutions, NAC, IPS/IDS, Load Balancer, etc.
- Secure Network Design, OS Hardening, Network Device Hardening, Patch Management.
- Strong RED and BLUE security solution skills.
- SIEM, SOAR, Ticketing Solutions.
- Sound understanding of Industry Leading security Solutions.
- Client-facing experience supporting large-scale security solutions.
- Experience using Linux-based systems.
- Knowledge and understanding of Databases.
- Experience with cloud security monitoring and response.
- Experience monitoring containerized environments.
- Scripting experience with Bash or Python.
