About the Role

Pfizer is seeking a highly skilled Medical Affairs Scientist Line Manager to join our Inflammation & Immunology (I&I) Medical Affairs team in Italy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating Medical Affairs activities in Dermatology, Rheumatology, and Gastroenterology Therapeutic Areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Medical Affairs activities in I&I, including scientific and clinical support to Global teams
  • Take budget responsibility and manage expenses
  • Lead a team of Medical Affairs Scientists and provide guidance on scientific and clinical matters
  • Work independently and receive instruction primarily on unusual situations
  • Identify and build effective relationships with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs)
  • Display sensitivity to manage relationships and ability to build collaborative working relationships with colleagues and associates

Requirements

  • Medicine Degree required
  • Relevant cross-TA experience in the pharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred
  • Experience in clinical research is strongly preferred
  • Experience in team leading is preferred
  • Excellent and proven scientific and technical expertise (incl. clinical studies management, ad boards)
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to work with cross-functional colleagues in a matrix team
  • Excellent English and local language
