About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Amazon Logistics (AMZL) in Italy. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Implement Safety Programs: Assist in the development and implementation of safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with local and EU legislation.
  2. Conduct Risk Assessments: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement controls to mitigate risks.
  3. Train and Educate Employees: Facilitate training programs on critical health and safety issues and assist in the coordination and training of new health and safety team members.
  4. Investigate Incidents: Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  5. Collaborate with Stakeholders: Collaborate with operational and support function stakeholders to ensure effective communication and implementation of health and safety initiatives.
  6. Monitor and Report Safety Performance: Monitor and report safety performance metrics to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
  7. Support Safety Audits: Participate in safety audits and provide recommendations for improvement.
  8. Travel to Support Operations: Travel to support operations at different locations in Italy as needed.
Requirements

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced health and safety professional with a strong background in risk management and compliance. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in health and safety management, preferably in a logistics or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of local and EU health and safety legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to travel to support operations at different locations in Italy.
