Position Overview

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensures that all merchandise is fresh, rotated, and displayed according to the designated layout. Delivers outstanding customer service on the sales floor by welcoming, acknowledging, and responding to customer needs. Aids in unloading merchandise from pallets and organizes the storage area. Guarantees proper presentation of items on shelves and in display cases. Monitors sales floor conditions and takes corrective action to address any issues. Maintains suitable inventory levels and ensures correct pricing on received and sold items. Collaborates effectively with the Store Director, Grocery Department Manager, and all Grocery staff to uphold standards and exceed customer expectations. Assists customers in locating products on the sales floor and offers product recommendations when necessary. Addresses customer complaints and resolves issues when a customer is dissatisfied with the service or product. Contributes to the overall cleanliness of the department by sanitizing, organizing, and maintaining work areas, shelving, and the sales floor as required. Ensures that all quality standards are met, including achieving quantity expectations consistently. Adheres to regular attendance in accordance with the work schedule and provides adequate notice for any absences. Performs other assigned duties as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

To successfully perform this role, an individual must be able to complete each essential duty satisfactorily. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a diverse and fast-paced environment. Comprehensive understanding of all safety protocols and company safety policies, including proper lifting techniques and safe use of tools. Proficient in operating equipment such as power jacks, walk-behind lifts, and compactors.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

The physical demands and work environment described below are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

The associate must be able to stand for extended periods, work in a cooler, walk throughout the store, and frequently bend, stoop, and kneel. The associate must have full upper body mobility to lift products and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods. Must possess functional sensory abilities to visually monitor the store, create appealing displays, and operate equipment. The position requires the associate to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.

WORK SCHEDULE

This is a part-time, hourly position. The work schedule may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
