About the Role:

Bureau Veritas Group is seeking an experienced Offshore Project HSE Coordinator to join our team in Luanda, Angola. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental (HSE) aspects of our offshore projects are managed effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary HSE contact with the Offshore Installation Contractor onshore and all the HSE Advisors onboard installation vessels.
  • Monitor operations from an HSE perspective and provide guidance to offshore HSE representatives.
  • Participate in offshore incident reporting and investigations, ensuring high-quality reports and dissemination of lessons learned.
  • Attend and participate in daily operation meetings.
  • Provide coaching and training to the site team, ensuring they have the necessary HSE tools and knowledge.
  • Support the Offshore Company Superintendent onshore in ensuring project site compliance with Angolan legislation, CPY policies, and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with Contractor HSE personnel to assist in delivering project and construction HSE objectives.
  • Assist with the implementation of the HSE Activity Plan, HSE objectives, and HSE requirements on site.
  • Conduct training, auditing, coaching, and support for offshore employees and subcontractors.
  • Assist with PTW issuance, communication with other infield entities, and SIMOPS planning.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrate extensive experience in large deepwater and pipelay installation projects.
  • IMIST qualification.
  • NEBOSH qualification (preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of subsea ultra-deepwater offshore installation experience.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of marine activities involving DP3 Pipelay Vessel, DP3 Heavy Subsea Construction Vessels, and DP2 MSVs.
  • Experience in planning offshore SIMOPS and relative risk assessment.
  • Fluent in English.
