As a key member of our team, you will engage in interdisciplinary collaboration on complex projects, spearheading problem-solving initiatives and conducting thorough lessons-learned reviews.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute experimental strategies, interpret in-process data, and produce and evaluate comprehensive reports.
- Establish and nurture robust client relationships through technical discussions and support.
- Direct efforts in the domain of mRNA and LNP expertise.
- Identify and provide solutions for process-related risks, challenges, and issues.
- Contribute to the enhancement of departmental workflows and the adoption of cutting-edge technologies.
- Exhibit adaptability to assist with various departmental activities.
Qualifications
A Master's Degree in life sciences, Chemical, Biological, or Process Engineering, or equivalent experience, with over 5 years of proven experience in the Biopharmaceutical sector, ideally in a Process Development capacity. Alternatively, a PhD in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering, or related scientific disciplines, or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant post-doctoral or industry experience.
Essential Requirements
- Proficiency in biomolecule purification methodologies, including HPLC/FPLC chromatography (affinity, ion exchange, hydrophobic interactions, and size exclusion), tangential flow filtration (TFF), and additional filtration techniques.
- Familiarity with technology transfer processes and GMP manufacturing standards.
- Experience in implementing Design of Experiments (DoE) studies and high-throughput screening for purification workflows.
- Knowledge of in vitro transcription (IVT) critical process parameters, reaction optimization, and scaling processes.
- Experience in the production of large mRNA molecules, including self-amplifying and circular RNAs.
- Understanding of the mRNA-LNP encapsulation process, including scale-up and execution of relevant analytical methods.
- A proven ability to thrive in a dynamic and multifaceted work environment.
