Areas of focus may include but are not limited to: the composition and motion of the water column; coastal processes such as tides, storm surges, and sea level rise; ice dynamics and cryosphere‑ocean interactions; and the use of geospatial tools including remote sensing and GIS to analyze environmental change. Research strengths may also encompass biophysical coupling, ocean‑atmosphere interactions, and sediment transport in marine and estuarine environments.
