The NYSE listed group operates in key markets worldwide.ResponsibilitiesAs Head of Accounting NET‑A‑PORTER/MR PORTER, you are responsible for leading the day‑to‑day accounting operations of the Group’s NET‑A‑PORTER/MR PORTER entities in Italy. You ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting while maintaining a strong internal control environment. Acting with a high degree of professional judgment and independence, you are a trusted partner to Group Finance and local management. This role combines operational leadership with strategic oversight and contributes materially to the quality and integrity of the Group’s financial information. Some of the essentials for you to know are:Lead and oversee all general ledger accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and payroll accountingEnsure the accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsDrive month‑end and year‑end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliationsImplement and enforce accounting policies and procedures in line with Group standards and applicable accounting regulationsPrepare statutory financial statements and coordinate external statutory auditsEnsure timely and accurate IFRS reporting packages for Group consolidation and support Group auditsEnsure compliance with local tax requirements in close coordination with the Group Tax function (e.g., VAT, corporate income tax)Maintain and continuously improve internal controls, compliance frameworks, and documentationLead and deliver accounting‑related projects, such as ERP implementations, process automation initiatives, or organizational changesSupport budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis by providing reliable actuals and variance explanationsAct as a key interface to internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authoritiesLead, coach, and develop the accounting team, fostering high performance, knowledge sharing, and succession planningLocationZola PredosaReporting intoDirector Group Accounting & TaxRequired qualificationsHigher academic degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldSeveral years of professional experience in a comparable senior accounting or finance leadership roleStrong knowledge of IFRS accounting standardExperience with SOX environment is a plusProven experience in statutory reporting, audits, and internal controlsHigh level of integrity, professional judgment, and independenceStructured, hands‑on, and solution‑oriented working styleStrong leadership and stakeholder management skills in an international environmentFluent in English and ItalianFrom the moment you join the LuxExperience Group we are committed to making your journey with us inspirational and evolutionary.
