PositionPosition:Manufacturing Design Engineer Reports to:Manufacturing Design Manager Position ObjectiveThe Manufacturing Design Engineer is responsible for designing new machines, equipment, and assembly lines for both the headquarters and international sites. The role supports the introduction of new products (phase-in) and continuous improvement initiatives. Main ResponsibilitiesDesign of New Machines and EquipmentUpon request from the Company Management or the Manufacturing Engineering Departments, the engineer is responsible for the mechanical design of: New production machines Custom assembly equipment Complete assembly linesUses 3D CAD systems to develop models and technical drawings. Prepares bills of materials (BOM) and technical specifications. Performs structural calculations to ensure the robustness, functionality, and safety of the proposed solutions. Modification and Optimization of Existing Equipment Evaluates modification requests from Manufacturing Engineering Departments. Designs technical solutions aimed at improving: Cycle times Equipment reliability Product quality Prepares or updates the component bills of materials and enters them into the SAP system.
