Control Room Specialist Location: Trieste, Via degli Alti Forni S/N – HHLA PLT Italy S.r.l. ResponsibilitiesVessel / train scheduling management Yard management (movement planning, allocation, inventory) Transmitting operational instructions to operational departments Coordination between ship / train operations and the yard Timely communication and coordination between the yard, gate and external third parties (e.g., Port Authority, agencies, ships, pilots) Managing external traffic flows for ro‑ro Managing correspondence with external parties (agencies, customs, etc.) Managing documents (ro‑ro, container, trains) Managing disembarkation / embarkation lists, ship and train lists, unit blocking or release notices Managing requests for ancillary services (e.g., customs visits, VGM) Data processing for correct customer invoicingRequirementsPrevious experience in vessel / train / yard planning (preferred) Previous experience in shipping agencies and / or in port sector (preferred) Fluent written and oral English (other languages are a plus) Good Excel knowledge Willingness to work shifts (including night shifts and weekends) and flexible hours Ability to work under pressure Ability to perform several tasks simultaneously Ability to work in a team Driving license (B)HHLA PLT Italy is part of HHLA Group, with over 6,400 employees worldwide.
