Information Technology Demand Manager

Thales Alenia Space in Rome is a leader in Assembly Integration and Test (AIT) of Satellite systems and subsystems.

We have embarked on an ambitious journey to use Digital as a key enabler for growth and being a worldwide reference in Satellite AIT operations. In order to support the Industrialization and Innovation of the Company, which includes Industrial Management, R&D and Industry 4.0 deployment”, we wish to recruit a senior proven “Information technology demand” specialist. This person will report to the “Head of Industrialization Innovation and R&D Manager” within the Competence Center “Assembly Integration and Testing Italy”, he/she will also work in collaboration with the CCAIT Departments and the Company Information Technology Authority. He/she act as an interface between the Competence Center “Assembly Integration and Testing Italy” and Company Information Technology Authority”, taking charge of transferring functional requirements of the first towards the second. To support those activities the AIT specialist supports the design of functional business needs during the initial “conceptualization phase”; he assure the coherence between requirements and delivery during the subsequent phases of the project (design, prototype, implementation, test, deployment). In the same way, he/she will assist management in the design of an IT service and the consequent operational management throughout the contractual period.

Information technology demand specialist must provide professional to join our Industrialization and Digital Transformation teams, supporting the Industrial Strategy decision, the Industrial processes monitoring/optimization and the digital transformation initiatives in terms of Industry 4.0.

The responsibilities of this role are:
Your role” Information technology demand specialist” in this team will be:

- To be responsible for understanding, anticipating and influencing AIT Competence Center demand for IT projects and IT services.
- To act as “primary partner” for the business functions to capture, structure, align and plan business demand and match this demand with the IT supply functions’ capacity.
- Facilitate the annual planning cycle as well as structuring, capturing and estimation of the demand on an ongoing bases and mapping of the demand against agreed plan and resource base.
- Ensure consistent capturing and prioritization of the demand towards IT and regular alignment and prioritization of demand.
- To manage together IT Departments all industry 4.0 It projects in the frame of the Smart Space Factory
- To support users collecting business requirements, enhancing current solutions and deploying new Solutions
- Ensures the collection of functional requirements regarding IT Projects Vs Information Technology
- Ensures the collection of IT service requirements Vs the internal and/or external IT service supplier.
- Reporting about the service SLA KPI and project controlling KPI
- Ensures the service provider (internal or external) allocate the capacity to meet the required demand and satisfy SLA.
- Gain visibility by IT service provider to help assess, track, manage, and forecast demand for services.
- To guarantee consistency of functional requirements, as developed by the IT Company Department, versus Business needs.
- To support IT/Security Departments on the design process.
- Contributes to the capitalization and sharing of knowledge on the Information System (through modeling, documentation, communications, trainings) into AIT Competence Center and overall the factory.
- Proposes new additions and updates to the business needs concerning IT projects and IT services
- Participates actively to the architecture governance process, from demand to delivery
- Advise upon technical architectures & solutions
- To support IT Departments to designs One-TAS technical architectures in response to a business project or architecture change requests
- Analyzes and checks the technical impacts of the proposed IT solutions and their coherence with the existing IT solutions and IT services.
- To collaborate with the IT & Security teams to ensure that that proposed technical architecture corresponds to expected performance, adaptability & business objectives
- Supports, provides expertise and performs verifications during the implementation phase (roll-out), before delivery in production.
