Production Manager, Ecoat

As the Production Manager for E-coat, you will manage 2 production departments (15 people). You will report to the Plant Manager. You will ensure the delivery of defect-free products following EHS and Quality standards and practices. You will review production records and evaluate the operating performance (skills, productivity and costs) of the department according to the production planning defined.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Verify the execution of the production schedules, actuate corrections when needed, keep informed the Supply Chain and the Plant Manager about problems.
- Control the production activities respect the budget and volume to reduce cycle time and waste generation.
- Ensure the Quality standards and Safety practices are compliant with PPG Policy and local regulations.
- Support the department planner in the output for the week, considering the resources (workforce and equipment)
- Help the process engineering with the analysis to solve any process or quality deviation
- Ensure the correct scale up of new products/formulas in PPG EMEA organization with process engineering, formulators and technical team
- Decide with Maintenance Manager the items to add to the preventive maintenance plan, to improve the capacity and the performance of the department
- Develop the team performance and skills by coaching, training and motivating
- Guarantee the necessary coordination between team leaders.

**Qualifications**
- 3/5 years’ experience in Manufacturing activities (production or engineering or similar)
- Lean manufacturing knowledge
- Intermediate English
