**Context**: - Our Client is since a long term established, proficient, dependable partner in the areas of insurance, pensions, and wealth, with h.q. in Germany. - The companies in the Group are specialized experts operating independently in clearly defined market segments. One is among Germany’s largest automobile and third party liability insurers and an expert in the construction sector. - In consideration of the international growth, after some further countries, Italy has been identified as an interesting market to open a direct legal entity under its umbrella brand. - The set up in Milano of a small branch has been planned and the acquisition of a small local company is in the pipeline. - The Construction - Property - Real Estate market will be the main focus.**Role**: The Country Executive will set up the local newco, merge the acquisition, understand the local market with a clear fitting with headquarter’s culture, so to act as brand ambassador of the Corporate on the Italian country. The role will represent the Corporate to major clients, prospects, professional associations and regulatory bodies in Italy, within a strong start up approach spirit. Main responsibilities: - Accountable for developing and delivering the strategy and operating model for Italy towards the profitable growth; - Closely monitor the Italy operating and financial results against plans and budgets (with ultimate P&L responsibility); - Responsible for sales growth and execution (both top line and bottom line); - Accountable for maintaining adequate controls and compliance and will hold the key relationship with the local regulatory authorities; - Build a resource plan aligned to the growth plan for the country to build a team of resources as well as identifying and leveraging internal partnerships with other teams to ensure the seamless delivery for clients; - Promote and build Corporate brand and culture both internally and externally, acting as ambassador and role model in the country; - Ensure the company maintain high corporate, social and environmental responsibility (ESG). - Senior Manager with a proven track record in leading Insurances companies’; - Business Unit and/or Department leader in functions such as sales, compliance, risk, audit but mainly in business development area; - Demonstrated ability to explain and sell in multi-product/multi-cultural/multi-jurisdiction environments; - Evidence of proven leadership skills; building, leading and developing high performing teams to deliver outstanding results; - Strong commercial drive to own and deliver a P&L; - Demonstrate strong leadership and influencing capabilities in a global and complex matrix organisation, with a parent company and head quarter abroad; - KPI driven. Fact&Figures oriented; - Fluent in English, both written and oral command.
