Eurofins Discovery has supported Drug Discovery research for over 40 years. Eurofins is recognized as the industry leader for providing drug discovery researchers the largest and most diverse portfolio of standard and custom _in vitro_ safety & pharmacology assays and panels for drug screening and profiling. In addition to _in vitro_ safety pharmacology strengths, we also offer a broad portfolio of over 3,500 drug discovery services and 1,800 products. These include _in vitro_ assays, cell-based phenotypic assays, safety pharmacology and efficacy, ADME toxicology, medicinal chemistry design, synthetic chemistry, and custom proteins and assay development capabilities. We support a variety of drug discovery targets such as GPCRs, Kinases, Ion Channels, Nuclear Hormone Receptors and other proteins & enzymes. The Eurofins Discovery capabilities, expertise, knowledge and skill sets enable the company to provide clients the benefit of being able to work with a single outsourcing provider (CRO) for all their drug discovery programs.

**Job Description**:

- Responsible for sales of Eurofins Discovery services across Italy, Eastern Europe and Scandinavia (not including Denmark).
- Works collaboratively with the Eurofins Discovery sales team to promote Eurofins Discovery to companies working in drug discovery.
- Supports sales of DiscoverX products where applicable.
- Contributes to the global strategy by providing recommendations and feedback for both business development and operational strategy.
- Responsible for meeting sales targets and revenue growth targets for specified territory.
- Excellent understanding of the drug discovery market in assigned region including target companies, size of market and emerging technologies/modalities etc.
- Development and maintain high level client relationships through regular meetings, both face-to-face and virtual
- Work with members of the sales team and operations to drive business
Promote and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
- Provide feedback and analysis to operations to improve/adjust/expand marketing strategies.
- Performs other duties as assigned, example: attend trade shows, present capabilities
- Use Eurofins Discovery’s CRM to log client meetings and significant calls as well as for the tracking of all opportunities
- Completion and regular updating of account plans
- Able to provide management with client overviews

**Qualifications**:

- A minimum education of a B.S. in Pharmacology, Biology, Chemistry or similar Life Science degree with demonstrated experience in selling discovery services **or** an established career in drug discovery and looking to develop into a Business Development role
- Consideration will also be given to a pharmacologist with business credentials (MBA)
- Excellent knowledge of the drug discovery and development process, including integrated outsourcing strategies
- Understanding of, or prior experience, in the pharmaceutical industry and proven ability to analyse and act on the global business trends to drive regional business development activities.
- Exceptional business development, organisation, negotiation and communication skills.
- Valid Driver’s license
- Fluent in English

Additional Information
- Position is home-based and applicants are welcomed from applicants based in any area of Italy, Sweden, Finland or Norway.
- Located near major airport and ability to travel up to 40% time in support of driving business to meet revenue objectives.
- Ability to undertake occasional international travel
