**Accountabilities**

We are looking for a Project Manager to be involved in a research project (IAM4RAIL) founded by EU-RAIL.

Europ’s Rail (EU-Rail) is the European partnership for rail research and innovation under the Horizon Europe programme (2020-2027) and the successor to the Shift2Rail Joint Undertaking. EU-Rail aims to deliver, via an integrated system approach, a high-capacity, flexible, multimodal, sustainable, reliable and integrated EU railway network for European passengers and cargo.

Among Project Manager key activities and accountabilities:

- ensure the cost effective and efficient delivery of the project, taking into consideration the interdependencies between different projects financed by the EU-RAIL;
- technically coordinate Hitachi and project’s partners activities in alignment with the Automation Value Added Service Manager and with EU-RAIL Executive Director;
- provide regular reporting on the performance of the Project to the EU-RAIL governing board;
- is responsible for the delivery of the project, meeting contractual requirements and delivering on budget, on quality and on time, ensuring customer satisfaction;
- is responsible for Project profit and loss;
- ensure that the project risks are correctly identified and managed;
- is responsible for the relationship with the Customer, being its’ direct interface, for all aspects related to the management of the project;
- authorizes any change to the project baseline that has an impact on product costs, schedule, contractual obligations;
- Manages the delivery of products to customer;
- Leads the Project Team;

**Job requirements**

**Required Skills/Knowledge**
- Proven 5-7 years of working experience in project management in a medium/complex multinational organization;
- Availability to travel for 50-75% of the time.
- Experience with European or International Projects Management;
- Excellent team working attitude;
- Demonstrate the ability to develop strong, constructive and focused relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Strong problem solving skills;
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
- A high level of competence with Microsoft Office, excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills;
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Project Management Professional (PMP or IPMA) certification is a plus;
**Education/Qualifications**
Bachelor's degree in appropriate field (Engineer).

**Languages**
English (level C1 certificate or more).
