**About the role**:
The regional country office in Milan is part of the Region West, South and Eastern Europe (WSEE), which covers 36 legal entities in 21 countries in Europe. The regional country office in Milan is responsible for the activities of 5 legal entities in Italy and consists of a team of 5 accounting team members. As Global Shared Services Finance (GSS FI) in Italy we are serving at least 5 business areas, being Business Assurance, Supply Chain and Product Assurance, Maritime, Energy Systems, and Inspection Services. We are recognizing more than 100 million EUR in revenue and are working with approximately 475 professionals in Italy. All standard transactional activities such as Cash Management, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Record-to-Report are performed by our Global Center in Poland.

We are looking for a highly skilled Finance Manager who wants to join our team, and will be able to take up the responsibility for financial processes and recorded results of the legal entities in Italy, improve the day to day financial operating practices, ensure effective statutory reporting, maintain local stakeholder engagement, ensures smooth cooperation with the Global Center in Poland, and lead the execution of Group Projects (Enhanced Oracle Compliance Automation and M&A activities) in Italy and within the region.

Reporting directly to the Regional Finance Manager for WSEE the role will be responsible for delivering GSS Finance mandatory & country specific finance services across all 5 Business Areas.

**Primary responsibilities**:

- **Group management reporting**: Leading the monthly management reporting closing process, and ensuring compliance with group accounting policies under IFRS
- **Statutory reporting**: Ensuring accurate annual statutory financial statement compilation and compliance under Italian GAAP. Reconciliation between Group IFRS management reporting into Italian GAAP statutory reporting during the monthly and annual closing process. Supervising the whole local statutory reporting process
- **Tax reporting**: overseeing tax compliance (CIT, VAT, WHT, local Italian statutory compliance, others), support in preparation of tax reports and tax calculation for annual/quarterly/monthly declarations and related statutory accounts. Prepare input for annual reports, public disclosures, monitor share capital development and result allocation (eg. thin capitalization rules, limits to dividends, WHT on dividends, reporting)
- **Transfer Pricing Documentation**: Preparation and compilation of TP documentation in collaboration with external tax advisor. Ensuring and monitoring compliance for cross border intercompany transactions performed
- **Legal and corporate affairs**: Acting as point of contact for the members of the board and performing corporate secretarial legal activities such as taking minutes of meetings, preparing shareholder resolutions, support in litigation procedures etc.
- **Communication**: being the main point of contact for financial/legal/tax queries from different internal stakeholders within the Business areas, Group Headquarters in Norway (Group Tax and Group Accounting) and also within GSS organisation (Human Resources, Real Estate Management, Procurement, IT, Global Process Owners), but also external parties (banks, tax authorities, external auditors and the statutory sole auditor)
- Monitoring performance and quality of monthly balance sheet reconciliation, including follow up on any open/un-reconciled items
- Conducting monthly financial analysis on results including challenging business areas on reported results
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, especially contributing in proposals to increase efficiency in the area of automation, robotics, or use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for our highly standardized transactions
- Optimize and automize (current manual) Italian statutory obligations to achieve efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations
- Participate in various Group projects
